Rebecca Tumbarello
Rebecca Tumbarello is an Outreach Coordinator for Listen and Talk. Rebecca works with schools to optimize the learning environments for kids with hearing loss. She started her career as a Teacher of the Deaf in 2015. After graduating from CUNY Hunter College with a Masters of Science in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education, Rebecca taught in New York City Public Schools for 6 years.
Rebecca has been both a classroom teacher as well as an itinerant teacher, serving students of all ages.
Rebecca has also earned a Bachelor of Music in Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Performance from Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. She loves singing and sharing music with others, especially her students. Some of her favorite teaching memories are from organizing field trips to Carnegie Hall. There, her students were able to see a concert and experience an “Instrument Petting Zoo.” Rebecca moved to Seattle in 2021, and joined the Listen and Talk Outreach Team in 2022. She is very happy to call Seattle home.
