Kara Gordon joined Listen and Talk in 2023. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas and received her Bachelors of Science in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. Kara has worked in multiple roles as a Teacher of the Deaf including self contained classrooms (2nd grade, freshman English, and senior English classes), in class support, co-teaching, and as an educational interpreter. After moving to Seattle in 2021 Kara found her passion in teaching preschool students and brings creative ideas and a boisterous laugh to the team. Kara believes the best learning happens through play. During her free time she enjoys trying new restaurants, checking out books from the library, and thrifting at local markets.
