Marybeth Fowler
Marybeth is a certified teacher who has been teaching deaf and hard of hearing children since the early 1980s. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Elementary Education, her Master’s degree in Deaf Education and she has an Endorsement in Early Childhood Education. She is passionate about supporting families and teaching children to learn to listen and talk. Not only does she strive to make every moment a teachable moment for listening and spoken language, in the classroom, she creates a learning environment that takes neurological and cognitive development into consideration in every activity. During the summer of 2018, Marybeth traveled from Arizona to teach in the summer school program (ESY) while her daughter participated in ESY at Listen and Talk. With great enthusiasm, Marybeth has returned to Listen and Talk to teach through the fall. Marybeth and her husband, Mark, have five children. Two of their children are deaf, another is hard of hearing. They have two hearing children and a dog. Marybeth loves to spend time with her family, play games, read, walk, hike, ski, sit on the beach and ride her bike.
