Employee Spotlight: Andrea Kayyali
Where are you from?
Seattle, Washington
What do you love most about your work?
I love working with the kids and their families. It is amazing to see how much growth and progress can be made from the time they enter preschool crying on their first day, until they leave for kindergarten confident, happy and ready to take on the world. I love to watch their personalities develop, along with their sense of humor!
What do you like to do for fun?
I love spending time with my family in the outdoors. We love to bike, hike, fish, and camp. One of our favorite places to go is Whidbey Island. We also love watching local sports, cheering on the Seahawks and Mariners every chance we get. During the spring you can find us at the baseball field at least 3 times/ week rooting for my son and his baseball team.
Are there any innovations, accomplishments you want to highlight?
I started out at Listen and Talk over 13 years ago as an Educational Assistant in the classroom. Over the years, I’ve been allowed the opportunity to work in many different capacities at LT. I’ve been an EA in both preschool and pre-k classes, worked as an SLPA providing supplemental therapy services, and most recently as an Audiology Technician assisting our students with their listening devices and DMs.
If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be and why?
I think I would most like to be an eagle. The incredible freedom that comes from being able to fly and see the world from above, plus you could travel anywhere your heart desires!
